Josh Nixon hit a home run to lead the Cheers The Band Lumber Kings to an 8 - 6 win and a 3-games-to-0 ACMSL finals victory over Top Notch. Steph Harden, Nick Trofa and Luke McCooley chipped in with two hits each in the finale. Nixon (.750, 2 HR's), Trofa (.667, 2 HR's, 11 RBI's) and SS Matt Dilks (6 hits, 2 doubles, triple, spectacular defense) shared the MVP honors for the finals.

Nick Trofa hit two home runs to lead the Cheers The Band Lumber Kings to a 20 - 5 pasting of Top Notch. Josh Nixon had a home run also to help Cheers to a 2 games to 0 lead in the ACMSL finals. Julien Greene and Matt Dillks joined Trofa and Nixon with three hits each for the Kings. Steph Harden, Luis Cruz, Charlie Seitchick, Lou Capone and Freddie Hubbard contributed two hits apiece in the balanced attack.

Luke McCooley's hitting (3 hits), Charlie Seitchick's pitching and more stellar play from the Cheers The Band Lumber Kings defense gave the Kings a 12-1 triumph and a 2-games-to-1 series win over Hi Point Inn/Bud Light Team Shocker. Jim Gallagher, Julien Greene, Matt Dilks, Luis Cruz and Freddie Hubbard led the balanced attack with two hits apiece.

Matt Dilks led the Cheers The Band Lumber Kings to an 11-6 victory over Hi Point Inn/Bud Light Team Shocker with three hits (including a home run) and outstanding defense from his shortstop position. Jim Gallagher, Steph Harden, Nick Trofa, Leo Hamlett and Charlie Seitchick added two hits apiece as the Kings evened their series with Bud Light at one game each.

The Hi Point Inn/Bud Light Team Shocker defeated the Cheers The Band Lumber Kings 21-20 in a wild contest. The Lumber Kings scored 11 runs in the top of the first, but the offense bogged down until the last inning. In the top of the 7th, down 19-13, with two outs, nobody on and the bottom of the lineup at the plate, the Kings staged an impressive 7-run rally to take a one-run lead. But it was all for naught, as Bud Light scored two in the bottom of the 7th to take the opener of the first round of playoffs. Josh Nixon and Leo Hamnlett hit home runs. Nick Trofa joined Nixon with four hits each while Luis Cruz and Luke McCooley had three hits each. Julien Greene, Steph Harden, Charlie Seitchick and Meat Hamlett added two hits apiece.
Wednesday, August 15
The Cheers The Band Lumber Kings wrapped up their regular season by losing to rival Top Notch 9-7. Top Notch swept the Kings 2 - 0 in their season series. Cheers goes into the playoffs with a record of 1 - 5 against the other three teams in the A Division playoffs. Julien Greene homered while Luis Cruz, Josh Nixon and Matt Dilks had two hits apiece in the loss.
Monday, August 13
Mike Flynn went 4-for-4, while Julien Greene went yard to lead the Cheers The Band Lumber Kings to an 11-10 sqeaker over Comcast Cable. Luke McCooley and Freddie Hubbard joined Greene with three hits each to eliminate Comcast from the playoffs. Nick Trofa and John Ortiz added two hits each as Cheers clinched at least the third seed in the A Division.

Robert's Place defeated the Cheers The Band Lumber Kings 15-9 to sweep the season series (2-0) with the Kings. Josh Nixon had a home run while Matt Dilks, Charlie Seitchick and Lou Capone had two hits each in the loss. Cheers is now 13 - 4 on the season.

Julien Greene went 4-for-4 to pace the Cheers The Band Lumber Kings to a 9-7 decision over Le Grand Fromage Big Cheese. Josh Nixon, Luke McCooley and Demetrius Hamlett added three hits apiece as the Kings clinched a playoff spot with the victory. Jim Gallagher, Matt Dilks, Luis Cruz and Lou Capone contributed two hits each.

Jim Gallagher, Leo Hamlett and Freddie Hubbard added three hits each as CTB became 11 - 3 on the season. Luke McCooley, Mike Flynn and John Ortiz had two hits each.

Jim Gallagher had three hits to lead the Cheers The Band Lumber Kings to a 7-5 squeaker over Pistol Pete's. Willie Santiago added two hits for the Kings. CTB is now 11 - 2.

Jim Gallagher, Julien Greene and Demetrius Hamlett joined Harden with three hits apiece. Leo Hamlett, Lou Capone, Luke McCooley, Charlie Seitchick and Dan Jiacappello chipped in two hits each to bring Cheers to 10 - 2.

Julien Greene hit for the cycle to lead the Cheers The Band Lumber Kings to a 12-6 triumph over AC Linen. Luke McCooley had three hits with a home run of his own, while Luis Cruz and Mike Flynn also contributed three hits each. Nick Trofa, Freddie Hubbard and Rob O'Brien added two hits each.

The Cheers The Band Lumber Kings rebounded from back-to-back losses to hand Philips Seafood a resounding 30-3 defeat. Luis Cruz, Freddie Hubbard, Josh Nixon, Julien Greene and Nick Trofa had four hits apiece as the Kings scored 20 runs in the third inning. Luke McCooley, Mike Flynn and John Ortiz had three hits apiece while Charlie Seitchick and Guy Palumbo had two hits each.

The Cheers The Band Lumber Kings opened up the season with a decisive victory over the Le Grande Fromage Big Cheese 17-9. Nick Trofa had four hits including two doubles with five RBI's.
